Mixed Media with Household Objects

See how fun and simple it can be to create textures using things you have around the house!

Get ready to explore what it really means to unleash your creativity! You will learn to create mixed media art on paper using everyday objects found in your home, your garage, or at the dollar store. We will play and experiment by testing different painting, stamping and mark making techniques, and creating abstract patterns. This workshop is part of a mixed media abstract collage series but it can also be taken on its own.

Open to persons of all ages (kids age 9+) with no previous art experience as well as artists interested in exploring a new medium. My intent is to provide a non-judgemental and supportive setting where participants can challenge themselves to respond intuitively to art, unleash their creativity, and ask a lot of questions.

You will need a lot of paper and large work surface. Be prepared to experiment, play, and get your hands messy!
