Collage artist Catherine Cruz will teach you how to paint and alter paper to create interesting patterns and textures. We will play and experiment by testing different mixed media techniques and mark making tools on various types of paper. You will have an opportunity to create your own collection of painted and textured papers to incorporate in your abstract collage artwork or other mixed media art. This workshop is appropriate for artists working with collage, journaling, altered books, and mixed media painting. It is part of Catherine’s abstract collage 3-part series, but it can also be taken on its own.
