Create your own collage papers

Participants will learn to paint and alter paper to create interesting patterns and textures. They will experiment by testing different tools and techniques and using various types of recycled paper. They will have an opportunity to create their own collection of painted and textured papers to incorporate in their abstract collages or other mixed media art. This workshop is appropriate for anyone who wants to make beautiful papers, especially artists working with collage, journaling, altered books, and mixed media painting. It is designed for people with no previous art experience as well as artists interested in exploring a new medium.

$85 + $10 materials fee per class (payable in cash to instructor)

Number of participants: 6 min. to 10 max.
Age: 16 and up
11 am to 3 pm
½ hr lunch break (bring your own brown bag lunch)
