All my workshops are designed for people with no previous art experience as well as artists interested in exploring a new medium. This workshop is part one of my abstract collage series but it can also be taken on its own.

My intent is to provide a non-judgmental and supportive setting where participants can challenge themselves to respond intuitively to art, unleash their creativity, and ask a lot of questions. Be prepared to play and get your hands messy!

You will learn to paint and alter paper to create interesting patterns and textures. We will experiment by testing different tools and techniques using various types of recycled paper, and you will have an opportunity to create your own collection of painted and textured papers to incorporate in your abstract collages or other mixed media art.

This workshop is appropriate for anyone who wants to make beautiful papers, especially artists working with collage, journaling, altered books, and mixed media painting.
