Dive into the creative process and let go of what is holding you back. This workshop is designed for folks with no previous art experience as well as artists interested in exploring a new medium. Participants will create an abstract collage on a 12”x12” wood panel. They will choose papers from a wide collection of hand-painted, patterned, and vintage papers, selecting images that speak to them, literal images or abstract shapes and patterns.

Catherine provides a non-judgmental and supportive setting where participants can feel comfortable and challenge themselves to respond intuitively to their art while unleashing their creativity. She will discuss layering materials, creating texture, how to create a composition and abstraction, and at the end, they will participate in a group share. All materials are provided.
